Jenna + Ben’s Riverside Wedding at The Mishawaka Amphitheatre - Bellvue, Colorado
Jenna and Ben’s wedding at the Mishawaka Amphitheatre was equal parts heartfelt, playful, and deeply personal — a true reflection of who they are and the community they’ve built together. With around 50 guests, the day felt intimate, relaxed, and full of joy.
The morning began early at the Mish cabins, where Jenna got ready alongside her bridal party, surrounded by family-made details that carried extra meaning. Her aunt made her dress, her aunt also baked the macaroons, and Jenna herself crafted the piñatas that would later become one of the most memorable moments of the night. These personal touches set the tone for a day rooted in love, creativity, and family.
Jenna and Ben chose to do a first look with loved ones watching from a distance, followed by a first look with Jenna’s dad — emotional moments that unfolded naturally against the river and canyon backdrop. Family photos took place earlier in the afternoon, allowing everyone to be fully present once the ceremony began.
Their ceremony started at 4:30 PM, right where the Poudre River cuts through the canyon — a location made even more meaningful by the fact that this is where Ben first told Jenna he loved her. Instead of traditional vows, Jenna and Ben read through handwritten questions and answers they’d written to each other on each of their anniversaries over the past four years, creating a ceremony that felt uniquely theirs.
The celebration that followed was anything but traditional — and that was exactly the point. Cocktail hour flowed into dinner, heartfelt toasts, and then an evening packed with karaoke, board games, dancing, and not one but two piñatas (one for the kids and one for the adults). Their dog, Lennon, made appearances throughout the day, reminding everyone that this wedding was about family in every sense of the word.
As the night went on, laughter echoed through the canyon, music played loud, and the celebration carried on late into the evening — no formal exit, just joy, connection, and time together. Jenna and Ben’s wedding was a beautiful reminder that the best weddings aren’t about tradition — they’re about intention, personality, and the people who matter most.
